Background

Savannah Lacks an entertainment district and visually engaging communications, as well as engagement within its community, and its various stakeholders.

Objective

A solution that is to people’s needs, efficient, and ultimately cost-effective. To remember the anthropological history of Savannah and understand what has shaped it. Empathizing with the community’s needs, and understand the local culture to design solutions that fit the community.

Approach

An entertainment district spanning from River St. to Broughton St. to the Savannah Park Cemetary, using cohesive visual communications that connect to Savannah’s history and entertainment venues.

Alvaro Condensed

Pairing with the dynamic symbol, an elegant slab-serif provides balance and ties to the historic roman style stone engravings of Savannah’s Greek Revival architecture.


A condensed retro typeface is chosen as the main decorative font for headers reflecting the older posters and advertisements of historic entertainment venues.
